Board
QIC has a nationally respected independent Board of Directors. The
current Board consists of non-executive Directors including the
Chairman. The Chief Executive is not a member of the Board.
The Board oversees the affairs of QIC and sets the framework for the
organisation's long-term success. It assumes overall responsibility for
corporate governance and has established systems to monitor compliance
with policies, relevant legislation and standards of ethical behaviour.
The performance of QIC, its management and staff, are monitored both
directly by the Board and through its Board committees: the Audit and
Risk Management Committee, the Staff Committee and the Product
Development Committee.

Previous experience: More than 20 years experience in finance and investment management. John began his career as a Chartered
Accountant before moving into a number of commercial management roles in large Australian companies specialising in mergers, acquisitions and commercial
troubleshooting. He has also been an institutional dealer in stockbroking.

Previous experience: Prior to joining QIC, Brad was a consultant with an international consulting firm. He entered the financial
services industry after a career as an Army Officer specialising in strategic planning. A graduate of the Royal Military College of Duntroon, he has an
Honours degree in Economics from the University of New South Wales and a Master of Science in Management from the United States Naval Postgraduate School in
California. He is a Senior Fellow of the Financial Services Institute of Australia.
James Christensen BSc BA BEc MEc ASIA

Responsibilities: Adding value to client portfolios through the development of strategies that can be implemented outside the traditional
asset classes.
Previous experience: Prior to joining QIC, James worked as a Senior Economist at the Queensland Treasury, where he was responsible for the
provision of economic and financial market advice to the Queensland Treasury Corporation and its Board. He is a member of QIC's Investment Strategy Committee
and an Associate of the Securities Institute of Australia.
Margaret Sugden MAppFin MFTA AFAIM GAICD
General Manager, Client Services
Appointed: 1994.
Responsibilities: Managing QIC's client services workgroups, including relationship management, business development, marketing, product
management, performance and reporting.
Previous experience: Prior to joining QIC, Margaret was responsible for production and change management with News Limited (Melbourne).
She also has extensive experience in advertising and administration.
Chairmanships: Margaret is Chair of both the ASFA Investment Discussion Group and the ASFA Functions Committee.
Darren Mundie BComm CA
General Manager, Operations

Responsibilities: Managing QIC's operational workgroups including investment & portfolio services, information services and
infrastructure services.
Previous experience: Darren has spent the past 15 years in the finance and funds management industry. He spent the first five years of his
career as a Chartered Accountant before moving into investment banking in London where he spent a total of six years in treasury and derivatives related
functions at Barclays Capital, CS First Boston and Daiwa Europe.
