QIC offers global equities investment solutions in Implemented Equities and Australian Equities (internally managed).
Implemented Equities
The team manages global equity investments by constructing multi-manager portfolio structures. Core to this is to understand client objectives and needs. The business of the implemented team is to conduct capital/strategic markets research, portfolio design, manager research and selection and blending, implementation, portfolio management, review and monitoring.

The objective of the team is to construct implemented equities strategies that:
• Efficiently convert risk into return
• Have exposure to all accessible identified market opportunities
• Avoid introducing structural biases
In order to achieve our return objectives, our aim is to build multi-manager international equities portfolios that will deliver out-performance across the broadest range of financial market conditions. Specifically, we combine managers that exploit different opportunities in the market and rigorously analyse the characteristics of the resultant aggregate portfolio. We believe that unmanaged beta exposures, such as style or size factors, can lead to increased volatility of performance relative to the benchmark. Hence an important aspect of the QIC process involves ongoing research into the impact of the various beta exposures as well as the measurement and management of beta exposures arising in the portfolio.
In all, we employ investment processes that are rigorous, repeatable and disciplined.

This ensures return outcomes are consistent with our clients’ expectations and consistent with our rigorous process.
