QIC is also involved in a variety of programs that benefit communities.
We are a founding sponsor of the Queensland Community Foundation (QCF), a leading Australian State and National charitable organisation responsible for building a permanent trust fund to generate a continuous income stream for a wide range of Queensland charities. For more details about the QCF, visit their website at www.qcf.org.au.
Across the assets that we manage, QIC works closely in engaging with the communities our assets are a part of, building meaningful community partnerships that make a real difference.
And every year, our people can utilise their annual community day to volunteer at or on behalf of a community-based organisation, providing hands-on support to groups who need it most.
At QIC, we recently launched our first Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP).
A RAP is a structured document that commits organisations to support Australia’s national reconciliation movement. QIC is at the very beginning of our journey but we are committed, through our Reflect RAP, to reconciling the past with regard to treatment of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, recognising Indigenous peoples’ involvement in Australia’s history and working towards a better future.
Our action plan complements QIC’s ongoing commitment to diversity and inclusion across our global business, as demonstrated by our recent diversity and inclusion policy update. For further information please read QIC's Reconciliation Action Plan.
