Jim re-joined QIC in January 2016 as the Managing Director of the Global Multi-Asset Team. Jim is responsible for formulating and implementing the division’s business and investment strategies.
Jim will also be managing all multi-asset portfolios to ensure fiduciary accountabilities are executed effectively and investment objectives are exceeded in a sustainable manner. This encompasses: risk management, asset allocation and portfolio construction, capital market and asset class research, and portfolio construction management across a widely diversified asset class range. His role also incorporates the development of new products to deliver best in class commercial investment outcomes for existing and potential clients.
Jim is a graduate of the University of Queensland with degrees in science and economics and holds a masters degree in economics. He has successfully developed and executed investment strategies and solutions for institutional clients for more than two decades and has held senior investment roles within both the Government and Private sectors.Previously, Jim was Chief Investment Officer at Telstra Super.
Neil joined QIC in July 2014 and is Chief Strategist for QIC’s Global Multi-Asset team, a leading provider of innovative multi-asset class and sector specific asset class solutions.
As Chief Strategist, Neil is responsible for unifying and synthesising the GMA investment philosophy and application, leading the direction of top down asset class and portfolio design research.
As the Chair of the GMA Asset Allocation Committee he oversees best practice portfolio design and portfolio positioning across all asset classes. Neil also provides leadership on GMA’s growth strategy with a particular focus on diversifying the client base and unifying QIC’s investment capability to deliver investment solutions to new clients. He is a member of QIC’s Executive Management Team.
Neil has 24 years’ experience in investment management and financial markets and holds a Master's degree in Economics with First Class Honours.
Matthew joined QIC in July 2008. As QIC's Chief Economist, he oversees global economic forecasting and research.
Matthew previously worked with fund manager TGM, where he headed the economic and financial-market forecasting team.
Prior to joining TGM, Matthew was Senior Research Fellow at Monash University. Here, he led the development of a regional model of the Australian economy. This model is widely used by Federal and State Government agencies and by most large consultancy firms.
Matthew and his team are among Australia’s top forecasters as ranked by Bloomberg. Matthew is a CEDA Trustee, an American Chamber of Commerce Governor and is frequent commentator at industry forums and in the press.
He has 20 years of economic modelling experience in both industry and academia, and holds a PhD in economics from Monash University.
